The main structure models of calcium silicate hydrate(C-S-H) gel was introduced,with emphasis on the colloid model as well as its development which constructs at a nanometer scale.In the nanostructural colloid model,the C-S-H gel is packed by the basic building globules with the size of less than 5 nm.These building blocks flocculate to form larger units and microstructures,which are two distinctive gel phrases,named as high density C-S-H and low density C-S-H,respectively.In addition,the research results of modern microscopic experiments,which have verified the authority of colloid model,have been summarized.Finally,some suggestions for the future study in this aspect are also made.
